Paulina Porizkova Celebrates Turning 59 by Posing in ‘Birthday Suit’: ‘I’m Proud’

Paulina Porizkova turned 59 on April 9th, and she’s still celebrating. Just days ago, the former supermodel decided to honor the special occasion by completely baring it all on social media. The star posed nude in bed to declare her confidence and embrace aging.

Porizkova wore her “birthday suit,” as she said, for the shot, sitting upright in bed with her arms concealing her chest and a white bedsheet covering her waist. The 59-year-old was absolutely glowing in the photo, showing off her gray hair and a big smile.

“A birthday girl (woman) in her birthday suit. One last year of being in my 50s. It’s been the worst, most difficult, and also illuminating decade of my life,” Porizkova captioned the photo. “I’m proud to have reached level 59! And I will keep being proud with every level I stack up in this game of life. At 59, I have never felt better in my well-worn skin.”

Porizkova added: “For those of you who will invariably lecture me on age and nudity, rest assured—it’s taken me 59 years to feel this confident and free of shame, and I wish the same for you.❤️” She also included a mix of new and classic hashtags like #betweenjloandbettywhite, #gettingbettereveryday, and #birthdaysarelevelsup.

Fans flooded the comments with heartfelt words and birthday wishes. “Happy birthday to a truly beautiful beacon of light. ❤️,” one fan wrote. “Level 59! Stealing that. It changes the narrative in such a beautiful way! Porizkova regularly celebrates aging but always stays honest with her fans about what she does to look and feel her best in her ‘50s.

Just last year the star opened up about anti-aging cosmetic procedures in a behind-the-scenes video from her dermatologist’s office. Porizkova explained she made a “personal choice” to never have “Botox or fillers” injected into her face but gave fans a glimpse into the micro-needling and laser treatments she uses for the “overall rejuvenation” of her skin.

Porizkova admitted that she had mixed feelings about the treatments but said that these minimally-invasive procedures feel like “a split between accepting my age and still doing something to make myself feel better.” While Porizkova noted that these treatments are an integral part of her beauty routine, she also recently shared an Instagram video for her fans where she revealed her “basic and simple” skincare routine as well as detailed her daily makeup routine in another video.
