Passenger has expanded his 2024 Australian headline tour with a second show at Sydney’s iconic Opera House. The English indie-folk troubadour, real name Mike Rosenberg, will perform an additional show at the NSW’s capital’s most iconic venue on Sunday, 20th October, supported by Sydney singer-songwriter Josh Pyke.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to be playing the Sydney Opera House,” the artist said in a press statement today, announcing the news. “I’ve been lucky enough to have a few bucket list moments throughout my career and this will certainly be amongst the very best of them.”

He continued: “Sydney for a while was my home – I spent months busking, writing, recording and playing small venues around the city – so to come back all the years later and play this iconic venue is just the most wonderful feeling. I genuinely can’t wait!”

Passenger new Australian tour will see him return to stages down under for the first time in six years, in honour of the tenth anniversary of his seminal LP, All The Little Lights.

The down under leg of his All The Little Lights (Anniversary Edition) world tour begins on Thursday, 17th October in Perth, and will also see Passenger visit fans in Brisbane, and Melbourne on top of the aforementioned Sydney dates.

The news comes after Rosenberg released a special anniversary edition of the LP, which transformed him from a touring street performer to a Platinum-selling global sensation, featuring re-recorded versions of the album’s biggest tracks reimagined with big-name collaborators including Ed SheeranFoy Vance, Gabrielle Aplin and Nina Nesbitt.

Passenger’s love affair with Australia has been well documented. He first came to our shores 15 years ago as a busker before subsequently moving here to record his 2010 album Flight Of The Crow, which featured a host of his Aussie mates including Sydney support act Josh Pyke, as well as Kate Miller-HeidkeMatt CorbyKatie Noonan and members of Boy & Bear.

2013’s All The Little Lights was recorded here too, with lead single ‘Let Her Go’ going on to top the ARIA Singles Chart for five consecutive weeks before going 7 x Platinum.
