Pamela Anderson and Jon Peters will reportedly 'take some time apart' after 12 days of marriage
Pamela Anderson and her new husband Jon Peters are reportedly cooling things off after 12 days of marriage.
"I have been moved by the warm reception to Jon and my union," Anderson, 52, told The Hollywood Reporter on Saturday. "We would be very grateful for your support as we take some time apart to re-evaluate what we want from life and from one another. Life is a journey and love is a process. With that universal truth in mind, we have mutually decided to put off the formalization of our marriage certificate and put our faith in the process. Thank you for respecting our privacy."
A “source close to the actress” told the publication that Anderson and Peters had not yet filed the legal documents for their marriage certificate.
Representatives for Anderson and Peters did not immediately return Yahoo Entertainment’s requests for comment.
Anderson and Peters, 74, a former hairdresser turned film producer, were married on January 20 in Malibu, California, only months after they started dating again. The pair had locked eyes at the Playboy Mansion in the 1980s, according to The Hollywood Reporter in 2017. Peters said, he tried to — unsuccessfully — steer her away from posing for Playboy.

“Pamela has never seen her full potential as an artist. She has yet to shine in a real way,” Peters told The Hollywood Reporter in January. “There is much more to her than meets the eye, or I wouldn’t love her so much. There are beautiful girls everywhere. I could have my pick, but — for 35 years — I’ve only wanted Pamela. She makes me wild — in a good way. She inspires me. I protect her and treat her the way she deserves to be treated.”
Anderson sent The Hollywood Reporter a poem that read:
“Jon is the original ‘bad boy’ of Hollywood -
no one compares -
I love him deeply like family.
His life used to scare me.
So much for a girl like me.
Now I’ve seen more of life
and realize ..
He’s been there all along.
Never failed me -
I’m ready now
and
he’s ready too -
We
understand

God has a plan.”
The former Baywatch icon has been married multiple times — including to rocker Tommy Lee (with whom she shares two adult sons Brandon and Dylan), Kid Rock and Rick Salomon. Peters famously dated Barbra Streisand and has been married several times as well.
One day after the wedding, Anderson’s publicist told People, “They are very much in love and were married yesterday.”
