Angelina Jolie's role in the new Broadway show, The Outsiders, goes well beyond producing, she's also styling the cast in custom looks for the big premiere. The play, directed by Danya Taymor, is an adaptation of the 167 novel by S.E. Hinton. The story follows two rival groups, the Greasers and the Socs who are separated by their socioeconomic class.

“I considered that the story takes place in Tulsa 1967, and the performers I dressed are mostly the Greasers,” Jolie told Teen Vogue about the red carpet premiere. “I also tried to listen, and each person I dressed had a hand in designing or choosing their own pieces. I don’t believe in styling people. I like creating looks with artists."

For the looks, Jolie worked with famed tattoo artist Mark Mahoney to embroider iconic lines and phrases from the story onto the looks, like “stay gold.” She explained, "This is a team effort with tailors and embroiderers and, above all, Mark Mahoney."
