Opéra Louisiane presents French comedy ‘The Barber of Seville’
BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Get ready for a tale of bribery and deception as Opéra Louisiane presents the comedic French production “The Barber of Seville.”
Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 3, and 3 p.m. Sunday, May 5 at the Manship Theatre in Baton Rouge.
The performance features Figaro, a matchmaker for his former employer who assists Count Almaviva in winning the heart of Rosina and freeing her from her lecherous guardian, Dr. Bartolo, according to Opéra Louisiane’s website.
