Hulu has set the return of Only Murders in the Building Season 4 for August 27th and previewed its next mystery in Los Angeles through a new teaser trailer.
The upcoming installment will see Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short), and Mabel (Selena Gomez) dealing with the fallout from the end of Season 3, when Charles’ stunt double and friend Sazz Pataki (Jane Lynch) became the latest victim in their orbit. Meanwhile, the success of their podcast has gained them an audience in front of Hollywood execs.
“Questioning whether Sazz or Charles was the intended victim, our trio’s investigation leads them all the way to Los Angeles where a Hollywood studio is readying a film about the Only Murders podcast,” reads the official logline. “As our amateur sleuths race back to New York, they embark on an even more epic journey — traversing their building’s courtyard to delve into the twisted lives of the Arconia’s West Tower residents.”
Besides the main trio, Season 4 will feature the return of Meryl Streep as Loretta Durkin, Da’Vine Joy Randolph as Detective Williams, and Michael Cyril Creighton as Howard Morris.
Eugene Levy, Eva Longoria, Zach Galifianakis, Molly Shannon, Kumail Nanjiani, Melissa McCarthy, and Richard Kind will all come aboard as guest stars.
Following its premiere on August 27th, new episodes of Only Murders will be released on Tuesdays.
