One of the Texas Tenors a scratch for Saturday show with THSO

Apr. 24—The Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra released an announcement Wednesday in conjunction with the Texas Tenors, who will perform in a nearly sold-out concert sponsored by the THSO on Saturday.

One of the three tenors, Marcus Collins, a founding member, won't be able to make the show.

"Marcus Collins underwent surgery earlier this year and has been showing major progress with recovery," the statement read. "The Texas Tenors and the THSO were both hoping Marcus would be well enough to return to their 15th Anniversary Tour in time for their Terre Haute performance, but unfortunately, he needs a bit more time to heal before returning to the tour."

JC Fisher and John Hagen have been touring nonetheless and have sold out shows on the current tour, and Collins will appear in video segments during the show.

The Texas Tenors, whose popularity burgeoned with their appearance on "America's Got Talent" in 2009, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Tilson Auditorium on the Indiana State University campus.
