Olivia Rodrigo 'Guts' tour starts tonight: Fans flock to Acrisure for merch ahead of show

Going to Acrisure Arena to scope it out over 24 hours before a concert … “bad idea right?”

Not if you’re one of the #Livies (aka Olivia Rodrigo fans) taking over the desert this week.

The Temecula native — who already has three Grammy Awards at the age of 21 — is kicking off the world tour for her sophomore album, “Guts,” Friday evening in Palm Desert, but several eager Gen Zers flocked to the venue Thursday for a special on-site merchandise booth open throughout the afternoon.

“The friendship bracelet trading has started,” one excited TikTok user said in a post showcasing photos of fans trading bracelets in true Swiftie fashion (Rodrigo herself is self-identified Taylor Swift fan, despite a rumored fued) as well as photos of the various t-shirts and posters for sale and the large purple butterfly photo-op stationed outside the arena.

The same merchandise booth will reopen at 1 p.m. Friday, Acrisure announced on its Facebook page, and will remain open until 5 p.m. Fans don’t need tickets to the concert in order to purchase merchandise, the booth is open to the public.

The venue also posted several “know before you go” tips on its Facebook, such as a reminder that the venue’s patio and doors don’t open until 6 p.m., and the concert starts at 7:30 p.m. with emerging pop singer Chappell Roan (who will be back in the desert in April to play Coachella) as the opening act.

How does concert parking work at Acrisure Arena?

• There are 3,000 on-site parking spots available for advance purchase. Eventgoers can still pre-purchase parking for $43.10 at acrisurearena.com to save 20%

• EV Parking and Accessible Parking are first-come, first-served and cannot be reserved separately

• Your license plate is your ticket if you pre-purchase parking. When coming to the arena, simply drive up and park – no waiting in lines to pay or show your pass

• Rideshare drop off and pick up location, in addition to the general drop off and pick up location, is accessed via Firebirds Lane on the north side of the arena

• The parking lot is located on the east side of the arena and can be accessed via Varner Road. Follow the signs. Parking lot lights will brighten the lot at night

How many stops are on the 'Guts' tour?

Following the massive success of her debut "Sour" tour in 2022, Rodrigo's "Guts" world tour is her first arena tour, which will stop at famous venues around the world including Madison Square Garden, Kia Forum, Sportpaleis, The O2 and more. During this run, she will be performing multiple nights in various cities, including two nights in New York, Los Angeles, and London.
