Old Rip, Pappy Van Winkle and more being raffled off. How to enter

A variety of rare bourbons is up for grabs.

The Kentucky Symphony Orchestra is raffling off Old Rip and Pappy Van Winkle, Antique Buffalo Trace and 20 other bourbons to help fund free concerts in Devou and Tower parks this summer. Tickets are on sale now, and the drawing is Saturday.

Here's what to know about each raffle and how to enter.

How to enter the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra's Pappy Van Winkle raffle

The Old Rip Van Winkle and Pappy Van Winkle raffle includes a six-bottle vertical set. The bottles are from the November 2023 release. Here's what to know:

  • Prize: A six-bottle set that includes a 10-year, 12-year, 15-year, 20-year, 23-year and a 13-year rye.

  • Value: Between $13,000 and $18,000, according to James Cassidy, the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra executive director.

  • Purchase tickets at kyso.org/bourbon-raffle-tickets for $100 each. There is no limit to how many you can buy.

  • Only 750 tickets will be sold.

How to enter the Antique Buffalo Trace raffle

This raffle includes a five-bottle set from the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection. Here's what to know:

  • Prize: A five-bottle set with a 15-year George T. Stagg, an 18-year Sazerac Rye, a 12-year W.L. Weller, a 6-year T.H. Handy and a 17-year Eagle Rare.

  • Value: Between $8,000 and $10,000.

  • Purchase tickets at kyso.org/bourbon-raffle-tickets for $50 each.

  • There is no limit to how many tickets you can buy.

  • Only 1,000 tickets will be sold.

How to enter the 20 bourbons/20 winners raffle

The third raffle will have up to 20 winners. One ticket will be drawn for each bottle of bourbon or set. Tickets cost $25 each, and there is no limit to how many you can buy. Only 1,500 tickets will be sold.

The average price of each lot or bourbon bottle ranges between $110 and $1,315, Cassidy said. Visit www.kyso.org/bourbon-raffle for a list of the 20 bourbons.

How to collect your winnings

Ticket sales end at 4 p.m. Saturday.

A drawing will be held at 9 p.m. Saturday and live-streamed on the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra website and Facebook page. Winners do not need to be present to win.

The Kentucky Symphony Orchestra cannot ship bourbons. Winners will be notified via email, and instructions will be sent on how to collect their bourbon.
