NJPW Updates New Beginning Series Ahead Of Kazuchika Okada’s Exit

NJPW has announced new matches ahead of Kazuchika Okada’s departure.
On January 19, NJPW revealed that Kazuchika Okada would be leaving the company at the end of his contract on January 31. In light of this news, NJPW made changes to the New Beginning Series.
NJPW announced that Okada’s final appearances are scheduled for February 23 and 24. First, Okada’s last NJPW match at Korakuen Hall will be on January 24. There, Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Tomohiro Ishii will defend the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Championship against Shane Haste, Mikey Nicholls and Kosei Fujita.
Additionally, Okada will face Hiroshi Tanahashi at NJPW The New Beginning on February 11. There, the two stars will clash one last time in Osaka.

As of this writing, Okada’s opponents for the February 23 and 24 events have not been announced.
