Nike Brings Back Iconic Air Rift Sneakers in Original Black and Green Colorway

Nike is set to reintroduce the Air Rift silhouette in its original black and green colorway, just in time for the summer season. The sneaker, which was inspired by Kenyan barefoot runners and named after the Great Rift Valley, a geographic rift that runs from Lebanon to Mozambique, is known for its unique shoe/sandal design equipped with tabi toes, making it one of the most visually distinct options in Nike's lineup.

Originally released in the US and Europe, the Air Rift gained popularity in Japan and became a hit in the Harajuku street-style scene. Over the years, Nike has collaborated with celebrities like Halle Berry and released new styles like the Air Rift Breathe. However, the upcoming release will take it back to its roots and offer the original design for purists.

Nike enthusiasts can expect the Air Rift "Kenya" to drop soon, but no official release date has been announced yet.
