Everything We Know About "Never Have I Ever" Season 2 — New Characters, Love Triangles and All

If you thought your life was crazy, wait until you see what happens to Devi and her friends in Never Have I Ever. Netflix's latest YA series is a good time as Devi tries to navigate high school, her love life, and friendships with her two BFFs while also dealing with the loss of her father. As Devi tries to climb the social ladder in some questionable ways, she has to decide whether her relationships are more important to her than trying to be popular.

So will Devi and her friends become popular? And will she make things right with everyone around her? Who will she end up with at the end of season 2? Here are all our big questions and everything you need to know about season two of Never Have I Ever.

Is there a trailer for Never Have I Ever season 2?

Listen up, everyone! The new Never Have I Ever trailer dropped on June 18 and things are getting hot being Devi and Ben and Paxton. It looks like this love triangle isn't stopping anytime soon as Devi decides to date both guys at the same time before she moves to India with her mom. Will her plan actually work? We'll have to wait and see to find out!

When does season 2 come out?

In the season's original teaser trailer, Netflix announced that the series will be coming back to the platform on July 15. In the same clip, we saw Devi stuck in between the Ben and Paxton love triangle.

Are there any photos?

The first official photos for Never Have I Ever season 2 are here, and we finally have a bit of a clue as to what to expect. Devi and her pals seem like they’re back to being BFFs as Devi figures out whether she wants to be with Paxton or Ben with the help of a useful chart. Meanwhile, Kamala is back in the lab following her passion for science and Nalini doesn’t seem too happy to be talking with Dr. Chris Jackson. We also get to meet new girl Aneesa, who might not get along with Devi right away.

Are there any new cast members?

In a surprise update, Common is joining the cast and it looks like he’ll be butting heads with Nalini. He’ll be playing Dr. Chris Jackson, "a suave and debonair dermatologist who works in Nalini’s building. His high-end practice and celebrity clients are impressive to everyone — except Nalini."

While the cast got together to film season two, they also made a cute video to help introduce their brand new castmate. Aytypical star Megan Suri has officially joined as Aneesa, "a new Indian student at Sherman Oaks High, whose confidence and radiance will pose an immediate threat to Maitreyi Ramakrishnan’s Devi," according to Deadline. Based on the new vid, it looks like she's already fitting right in.

That's not all, American Vandal star Tyler Alvarez is also joining the series as a person from Devi's past, Deadline has reported. He will be playing Malcolm Stone, "a Young Hollywood type, he went to elementary school with Devi and her friends but left when he was cast in a Disney Channel show. He’s recently returned to Sherman Oaks High whilst continuing his acting career." In this exclusive teaser from Netflix, it also seems like Malcolm is Eleanor's new boo.

Is John McEnroe still Devi's narrator?

Tennis legend John McEnroe served as the narrator of Devi's story while Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Andy Samberg was Ben's narrator in season 1. As far as we know, John is still Devi's narrator this season, and supermodel Gigi Hadid is joining as a guest narrator in season 2.

When did Never Have I Ever film season 2?

The cast finally reunited to film season 2 in November 2020, according to a report by Variety. Co-creator Mindy Kaling confirmed the news as she retweeted the news with the message, "Let's go!"

Who's coming back this season?

Based on that ending, we can definitely expect all our favorite characters to be back! We'll see more of Devi, Ben, Eleanor, and Fabiola. Then there's Paxton, who seems to have a complete change of heart over his relationship with Devi. So we can definitely see him coming back along with Nalini and Kamala.

What will season 2 be about?

The last episode showed Devi and her mom coming back together after she went to go live at Ben's house. Eleanor and Fabiola are now BFFs with Devi again after their big fight and they helped her realize how important it was for her to be with her family, despite their differences. Meanwhile, after seeing that Ben waited for her by the beach, Devi figured out her feelings for Ben and the two finally shared a kiss. However, her number one crush Paxton called her and it seems like he is finally interested in her. Thanks to the season 2 trailer, we already know that there's definitely going to be a major love triangle here. The trailer also revealed that there's a new Indian girl at Sherman Oaks High, Aneesa, who Devi is immediately intimidated by. Devi is also set to move to India with her mom, which will make things kind of complicated (as if they weren't already).

Season 2 of Never Have I Ever will be available to stream on Netflix on Thursday, July 15 with subscriptions starting at $8.99 per month.
