Mariah Carey and Gifford native Muni Long teamed up for a remix of Long's single "Made For Me."

Jermaine Dupri, a Grammy-award-winning songwriter, posted a video Wednesday to X, formerly Twitter, and Instagram at a recording studio showing Carey's accolades and teasing the collaboration with a snippet between the two R&B singers.

"You know a song ain’t a song without a remix baby," wrote Dupri on social media.

Long on Wednesday posted the same video to her TikTok, where she wrote, "ME AND MARIAH GO BACK LIKE BABIES AND PACIFIERS. #MUNIXMARIAH" in her caption.

Long's representatives did not respond to TCPalm's request for more information.

When was 'Made For Me' released?

"Made For Me" was released in September, and since then has taken off on social media and music charts.

A snippet from the song where Long sings "Twin, where have you been? Nobody knows me like you," has become a TikTok trend with people lip-syncing it showing their partners, best friends or pets.

Stars such as Khloe Kardashian, Camila Cabello and Ed Sheeran have jumped on the trend as well.

The single spent 16weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and peaked March 9 at No. 20. It also hit No. 1 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, peaking April 6.

Have Muni Long and Mariah Carey worked together before?

This wouldn't be the first time Long and Carey collaborated musically.

Long has previously co-written songs for Carey such as "A No No," "Infinity" and "Runway."

Who is Muni Long?

Long, whose real name is Priscilla Renea Hamilton, is no stranger to the music scene. For more than a decade, the 35-year-old singer-songwriter has been penning some of the biggest hits for artists such as Ariana Grande, Mariah Carey, Selena Gomez and Madonna.

She snagged her first Grammy in 2023 in the Best R&B Performance category for her song  "Hrs & Hrs," beating Beyoncé's performance of "Virgo's Groove" off her 2022 album "Renaissance."

Growing up in Gifford, she kept to herself, but her talents were never something she was sheepish about. She was always singing at home, funerals, at Riverside Children's Theatre and in musical productions at Vero Beach High School, where she graduated in 2006.
