Morgan Wallen's ex-girlfriend is addressing the country star's recent arrest after he was charged with reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct over the weekend.

In case you missed it, the 30-year-old country crooner was arrested on Sunday, Apr. 7, after allegedly throwing a chair from a rooftop bar during a night out in Nashville, Tenn.

Following the news, Wallen's ex, KT Smith, spoke out to give her take on the situation, which happened to occur just days after she announced her surprise wedding to fiancé Luke Scornavacco on Instagram.

But Smith, who shares 3-year-old son Indigo with the "Wasted on You" singer, didn't seem to think the incident had anything to do with the timing of her shock wedding post.

"Although it may seem like it correlates because of the timeline, I have no evidence to believe the incident had anything to do with the recent marriage announcement,” Smith said in a statement obtained by the Daily Beast. "

While Smith, 29, said she "cannot speak on Morgan's behalf," she insisted, "I do pray the very best for him."

She added: "Praying that this was just a slip up and that he will return to the good path that he was on prior."

Smith previously got engaged to Wallen toward the start of their relationship in 2016, though they eventually called things off. They continued dating for several years and split before their son was born in July 2020.

Smith did, however, go through with her engagement to Scornavacco, 22, sharing a photo of their marriage certificate on April 3, less than a week after announcing the news of the proposal.

Wallen found himself in trouble a few days later, after he was arrested and booked on three counts of reckless endangerment, as well as one count of disorderly conduct.

He posted the $15, 250 bond hours later and was released from Davidson County jail around 3:30 am. He is due back in court in Nashville on Friday, May 3.
