Mission: Yozakura Family Episode 6 Recap: Taiyo Gets a Stalker

Mission: Yozakura Family episode 6, titled “Bug,” aired on Sunday, May 12, 2024. The episode sees Taiyo become prey to the fearsome spy known as the Manhunter, who specializes in killing men she falls in love with. Moreover, the episode shows Shion and Taiyo doing their first mission together.

Episode 6 starts with Ayaka hacking into the Yozakura family computer and stealing data on Taiyo. However, before she can go too deep, Shion stops her in her tracks and chases her out of the system. The next day, Shion tells Taiyo and Mutsumi that someone broke into the system and stole Taiyo’s data, which causes him to panic a little. On their way to school, they are ambushed by Ayaka.

She introduces herself and claims she loves Taiyo and his life as a spy. She tells him he has a price on his head in the black market, which has made her kill him now before anyone else does. Ayaka tells him that she got permission from Kyoichiro, who had allowed her to target him so far. Meanwhile, Mutsumi is safe. Taiyo tells her he has no intention of dying, as he is now Mutsumi’s husband. Shocked by his words, she leaves them, promising to return later.

Elsewhere, Ayaka joins their class as a new student and wastes no time attacking Taiyo. The latter fends off her attacks throughout the day, but the process becomes exhausting for both. Ayaka launches her needles into the whole class, controlling them and forcing them to attack Taiyo. However, before she could attack, Mutsumi blocks the way and saves Ayaka from an assassin. She then falls in love with Mutsumi and plans to kill Taiyo so they can be together.

Mission: Yozakura Family episode 6 spoilers: Taiyo and Shion’s first mission together

After barely surviving Ayaka and her attacks, Shion invites Taiyo to her game room for fun. Mutsumi arrives with him and tells him that Shion always drags a member of the family to play with her. She and Taiyo enter the game and battle against some minions, which the latter finds underwhelming.

They then battle the boss, a train monster, and stop it before it can crash into them. As they complete the mission, it is announced that a train crash has been averted. Taiyo learns that the game is Shion’s way of doing missions. She then invites Taiyo to play another one involving a plane trying to crash into a thermal plant.

Taiyo struggles with the game initially but uses some glitches to get the hang of it. Shion stops the helicopter but discovers it is just one of many planes heading for the plant. Taiyo comes up with a plan, and they use the helicopter to take out the other aircraft with Ayaka’s help. The episode ends with Shion keeping Taiyo trapped in her room to teach him the joys of gaming.
