‘Miss USA’ Stays At The CW In Three-Year Deal

The CW is sticking with Miss USA.

The network has struck an exclusive, three-year deal to keep the Miss USA Pageant and the Miss Teen USA Pageant on its schedule.

It comes after the network acquired the rights to the beauty pageant last year. The broadcast ranked as its number new special of the year, per The CW, with viewership peaking at over 1.1M, per Nielsen, for the final moments of the show including the crowning of Miss Utah, Noelia Voigt, as Miss USA.

The 73rd Miss USA Pageant will air live on The CW on Sunday, August 4 after Miss Teen USA airs on Thursday, August 1.

Miss USA has bounced around a number of networks over the years including on NBC, Reelz, Fox and FYI.

This year’s event will see the age limit for contestants scrapped with women over the age of 29 now eligible to compete after last year it allowed divorced, married or widowed women as well as mothers to compete.

It will take place in LA.  The 73rd Miss USA Pageant is executive produced by Renato Basile
