Milla Jovovich's daughter is committed to following in her footsteps.

On Thursday, April 5, the actress, 48, appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show and spoke about how her daughter Ever, 16, has been getting into acting. Chatting with friend and former costar Jennifer Hudson, Jovovich says that her daughter's interest in the industry began at a young age.

"When my daughter was 5 years old, and by that time she’d already said she wants to be an actress, and she was quite a diva when she was a toddler," Jovovich says. "But when she was 5, she said, ‘Mama, I want to audition.’ And I said, ‘You don’t even know how to read. How are they going to give you a script and you’re going to memorize these lines?’"

"She goes, ‘Oh, so I have to learn to read?’ And I said, ‘Yes.’ That year, she was in kindergarten. By the end of that year, she started reading at a second-grade level. She was committed.”

The mom of three goes on to say that when her daughter was 6, she asked if she could audition now that she knew how to read.

"I’m thinking, Oh my god, I’ve created a monster here. But it was laser-focused. I said, ‘You’ve got to take acting classes! Because now you know how to read, you can read the script but you’ve got to learn to act.’ She was like, ‘Ok. Enroll me in acting class,' " the proud mom recalls.

Later in the conversation, Hudson shows a side-by-side photo of Jovovich and her daughter, remarking how similar the two look.

“It’s so crazy as a parent because you look at your kid and you just see the best of yourself and the best of your spouse," Jovovich shares. "And, it just gives me life. I mean literally, I’m going to cry."

Jovovich is mom to daughters Ever, Dashiel, 9, and Osian, 4, who she shares with husband Paul W.S. Anderson.
