The actor, who recently reprised his hilarious Beavis and Butt-Head character with Ryan Gosling at the Fall Guy premiere, has been in a relationship with Christensen for over 10 years.

Although it’s unclear how they met, they both share a love of acting and comedy, with Day known for his characters on SNL and Christensen previously appearing on sitcoms such as Modern Family.

Though the couple tends to keep their relationship fairly out of the spotlight, they have shared glimpses of their love on social media, including posting photos with their son who was born in August 2012.

She’s from Argentina

Christensen was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, but moved to the United States when she was two years old, per her IMDb page. As a result of the couple's acting careers and his SNL schedule, she spends her time between the East and West Coast, writing on her Instagram bio, “Fermented in New York. Chilled in California.”

She’s an actress

Like Day, Christensen is in the entertainment industry. She has appeared on numerous hit shows through the years, including Parenthood, 2 Broke Girls and Modern Family.

In April 2020, she posted about the end of Modern Family by sharing a selfie of her with stars Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet on set. Alongside the photo, she recalled how she auditioned for the show over 50 times before booking the role of Tammy in season 8, calling it an “honor” to be on the show.

She’s a producer

In August 2012, the couple became parents to son Abbott, according to She Knows. Speaking with the publication in December 2023, Day reflected on being a dad to a tween, noting that he “refuses to accept that he’s getting older.” He also joked that he and Christensen are now suddenly “uncool” and “annoying” parents in Abbott’s eyes.

“He’s doing things that I did as a kid and I’m like, ‘Oh, man, we’re the parents,'” he told the publication. “And I remember being annoyed by my parents. And I’m like, ‘Oh, we’re that now. We’re that.'”

While Day and Christensen have shared glimpses of their family on social media, Abbott has also made a few cameos on SNL. In 2019, Abbott appeared in the sketch “Children's Clothing Ad” alongside his father. After the episode aired, Day opened up about sharing the screen with his son, writing on X, “So proud of the boy!”

When the SNL cast had to film their skits at home during COVID quarantine in 2020, Abbott appeared alongside Day for another skit titled “Dad Prank Video,” which showed him pulling various pranks on his dad.

She’s a big soccer fan

Being from Argentina, Christensen is a big soccer fan, specifically when it comes to the Argentina national football team. As the team won the 2022 Soccer World Cup, Christensen posted her pride for the team, including a photo of her, Day and their son donning matching jerseys as they hung a flag in their window. Day even donned a jersey on SNL, which Christensen adorably shared on her Instagram with the caption, “😍🇦🇷.”
