MeUndies Partners With Love Watts to Spotlight Black Artists For New Collection

MeUndies has remained steadfast in devising breathable, comfortable basics that come in playful prints and foster the art of self-expression. In an effort to elevate intimate staples and essentials, MeUndies has partnered with Love Watts — a creative content gallery — for an exclusive limited-edition collection, showcasing the artwork of three emerging Black artists who each created and designed their own exclusive prints. Through this approach of enlisting the country's most talented artists, the innovative brand collaborated with artist Hank Washington along with illustrators Thaddeus Coates and Dominique Ramsey.

Drawing inspiration from Washington's cultural tradition of dancing, the talent sought to devise a print aptly-titled "The Jig is Up" which features joyous dancing figures and a variety of embellished silhouettes that were fashioned in vivid shade of yellow. The "Full Bloomers" range designed by Coates offered words of affirmation to encourage self-acceptance and body-positivity, and a dainty floral print that exudes a sense of happiness. Rounding out the limited-edition line, Ramsey introduced an olive green offering of underwear and socks, titled “Love, Flowers and Hares" which pays tribute to the designer’s love for spring and the fresh beginnings the season provides.

With a commitment to fight against conformity and promote a new era of radical self-love, acceptance and change, MeUndies' Love Watts collection demonstrates how artistry and self-expression can serve as a mode for positivity.

Ranging from sizes XS-4XL, the capsule collection of Undies, Bralettes and Socks is set to release on June 14 and prints will be available individually or altogether in their Love Watts pack exclusively on the MeUndies official website. In the gallery above, see how the talented trio of artists utilized their talents to facilitate the limited-edition MeUndies x Love Watts collection.
