Meow Madness: 11 Action Shots From Hallmark Channel's Kitten Basketball Championship
Hallmark Channel proudly refers to itself as “the exclusive home for kitten sports,” and it’s adding a new event to its schedule this spring: the inaugural “Meow Madness” basketball tournament.
Premiering April 3 at 8 p.m., it features 100 adoptable “cat-letes” — including Hairy Bird, Scottie Purr-pin, and Kevin Purr-ant — taking shots from the “flea throw” zone as each team claws its way to “The Final Fur.” Author and animal advocate Beth Stern hosts the event, while four-time NBA champion John Salley and Peabody Award-winning sportscaster Mary Carillo call the action.
Meow Madness is presented in association with North Shore Animal League America (the nation’s largest no-kill shelter and animal adoption organization) and Last Hope Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation.
