‘Meow Madness’: Watch the Promo for Hallmark Channel’s First-Ever Feline Basketball Championship

Hallmark Channel proudly refers to itself as “the exclusive home for kitten sports,” and it’s adding a new event to its schedule this spring: the inaugural “Meow Madness” basketball tournament.

Premiere April 3, it features 100 adoptable “cat-letes” — including Hairy Bird, Scottie Purr-pin, and Kevin Purr-ant — taking shots from the “flea throw” zone as each team claws its way to “The Final Fur.” Author and animal advocate Beth Stern hosts the event, while four-time NBA champion John Salley and Peabody Award-winning sportscaster Mary Carillo call the action.

Yahoo TV has the exclusive debut of the promo, which will begin airing Sunday. We do not expect a high scoring game…
