Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be called by their birth names during wedding ceremony
Kensington Palace has confirmed the order of service for the royal wedding, in which the Dean of Windsor will call Prince Harry and Meghan Markle by their given names.
“In the presence of God, Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, we have come together to witness the marriage of Henry Charles Albert David and Rachel Meghan,” he will say.
It’s well known that Meghan is in fact not the bride’s legal first name.
Her birth name is Rachel Meghan Markle, though she prefers to go by her middle name publicly.
Similarly, Prince Harry’s real name is Prince Henry Charles Albert David of Wales.

In all statements given by Kensington Palace in the lead-up to the wedding, the former actress has been referred to as “Ms. Meghan Markle,” including on the wedding invitations.
However, the Queen used her given name, Rachel, in her official consent letter, which gave a hint about the order of service.
“I declare My Consent to a Contract of Matrimony between My Most Dearly Beloved Grandson Prince Henry Charles Albert David of Wales and Rachel Meghan Markle, which Consent I am causing to be signified under the Great Seal and to be entered in the Books of the Privy Council,” the monarch’s letter read.

It’s worth nothing that she also called Harry “Henry.”
The same was the case for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at their 2011 nuptials.
During their wedding — Archbishop of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, conducted the vows – Kate Middleton was called “Catherine Elizabeth,” while Prince William was called “William Arthur Philip Louis.”
