If you’ve kept up with Meghan Markle‘s podcast Archetypes, then you know the show has had quite a rocky road. While the first season saw great success and had a star-studded lineup of guests, from Paris Hilton to Serena Williams, it was also heavily criticized by the media and was canceled after one season with Spotify. Most recently, Markle signed with Lemonada Media ahead of the second season and rebranded their look. With that said, however, it seems they’ve already hit a major road bump.

According to Richard Eden for the Daily Mail, the sophomore season of the show will not be filming anytime soon, and is not “expected to be any work broadcast this year.” “The relaunch of Meghan’s Archetypes podcast got pushed back to 2025,” a source told Eden.

As for why their partnership has been delayed, Eden reports Markle’s other projects, including her two recently-announced Netflix series, are taking up most of her time. The series that is said to “celebrate the joys of cooking and gardening, entertaining and friendship,” for example, started filming in Montecito just last week.

In addition, Markle’s commitments with her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, are presenting some challenges too. “Lemonada is said to be concerned that there would also be ‘scheduling conflicts’ between the launch of its podcasts and that of Meghan’s lifestyle brand,” Eden reports.

But, despite the potential bad news for Markle, it seems she already has a list of “very high-profile guests” scheduled for season two, whenever that may be!

Earlier this month, Variety announced that Markle and Prince Harry were executive producers in an upcoming Netflix project all about the polo sport. The series was primarily shot at the U.S. Open Polo Championship in Wellington, Florida.

Per the source, the project “will provide viewers unprecedented access to the world of professional polo.” “Known primarily for its aesthetic and social scene, the series will pull the curtain back on the grit and passion of the sport, capturing players and all it takes to compete at the highest level,” the statement continued.

As for her other project, which is currently mid-production, Markle will produce and star in a series that celebrates “the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship.”

With so much coming up, we just hope Markle can juggle all her commitments at once before they fall through. After all, no one would want another Spotify debacle in our hands.
