With the birth of Meghan Markle’s new blog, American Riviera Orchard, many have been anticipating her next move. After years of speculation, she finally dropped the bombshell that her blog is official, and earlier this month, many got oh-so excited for all the updates. One telling update shows she may be influenced to follow in this reality TV star’s brand footsteps.
The trademark applications for American Riviera Orchard, which Daily Mail obtained, reveal a lot about Meghan’s potential next move, which is quite similar to what Joanna Gaines did with her brand Magnolia.

In the applications, Meghan added a list of products such as household items, stationery, kitchen appliances, beverages, food, bath accessories, and more.
Seriously, this is quite reminiscent of Gaines’ brand Magnolia. Despite many claiming Meghan’s blog would be more like Gwyneth Paltrow, it’s quite clear she’s going for the home and hearth vibe like Gaines, rather than straight wellness like Paltrow.
When you take a peek at Gaines’ Magnolia brand, you see a blog and many products similar to what Meghan has reportedly applied for, so there may be some competition on the horizon (and our poor wallets will be the biggest victim as we buy anything and everything).
One other thing that caught our eye is that she may be selling makeup and skincare as well!
For those who don’t know, Meghan has had a history of blogging for a long time, even before her well-known lifestyle The Tig, which lasted from 2014 to 2017, after she started getting serious with Prince Harry. Even before The Tig, she anonymously ran a blog from 2010 to 2012 called The Working Actress, which detailed the “pitfalls and triumphs of struggling to make it in Hollywood.” per Hello.
