According to DBVL, the crux of the issue seems to stem from a mix-up with the timing and valuation of shares Beckham was promised as part of his deal. Early 2022 was marked on the calendar as the time for these shares to make their way into Beckham’s portfolio. However, these shares didn’t land in Beckham’s lap until several months had ticked by. By this time, the value of these shares had taken a nosedive from the neighborhood of $12 per share to a more modest $3 per share. This financial fumble has sparked the legal tussle we see unfolding between Beckham, Wahlberg, and F45’s founding duo, Adam Gilchrist and Rob Deutsch. It’s like they say, timing is everything, and in this case, it seems the clock wasn’t exactly on their side.

The bonds of friendship between Wahlberg and Beckham date back to 2007 when the 48-year-old football icon moved into the same Los Angeles neighborhood as the then 52-year-old actor and fitness aficionado. Their shared passion for fitness and success in their respective fields seemed to cement this budding friendship, making the current legal battle all the more surprising. Beckham posted videos for F45 on social media as a brand ambassador.

This lawsuit raises questions not only about the individual dynamics between these two stars but also casts a shadow over Wahlberg’s company. F45 Training, praised for its innovative and high-intensity group workouts, now finds itself under scrutiny. Beckham started legal proceedings in October 2022, alongside Australian golf entrepreneur Greg Norman. A judge then instructed them to bring their cases separately.
