ICYMI, Mariah Carey just reminded everyone that she's a living legend - this time with a drag king transformation. You heard us.

Side-note - this is not the first time we've seen mainstream celebrities try out a little drag artistry in 2021. Little Mix also channelled their drag king alter-egos for a music video, to the delight of fans.

In the video, released to accompany single Confetti, Perrie, Jade and Leigh-Anne all transformed their appearance to play the roles of "Pez", "J-Dog" and "Lenny" respectively, complete with faux-facial hair and razor-sharp jawlines.

Oh, and let's not forget Ariana Grande's drag makeover back in April. She shook off her go-to winged eyeliner and gave herself an all-new vibe in tribute to drag artist Gottmik, sharing a snap and the caption:

"@Gottmik I really want to be u but it's just not... in the cards" and told her 232 million followers, "Help me! Guess who doesn't know how to do drag make-up? Love you."

Anyway, for Mariah's own transformation, she jumped on the Wipe it Down TikTok/Reels transformation trend, wiping down her mirror to transform from a hair-rollers and a face-mask lewk into a high-glam aesthetic.

But Mariah (being Mariah) takes it one step further, transforming again into a masculine-presenting person, with a fake beard, baggy clothes, snapback cap and bandana. It's a serious mood.

Everyone from JVN to Gabrielle Union-Wade rushed to share their enthusiasm for the Reel - and we'd hasten to add our own serious admiration.

If you, like me, can feel a drag king obsession brewing, there are a bunch of incredible, talented masculine drag artists you can check out on Instagtam, including @Prinxchiyo, @prinxsilver, @adamall_drag, @beaujanglesdrag and @markanthony.dragking.

Nailed it, Mimi.
