Margot Robbie and Olivia Wilde are teaming up with X-Men producer Simon Kinberg to adapt a film for oone of the comic book characters created by Deadpool co-creator Rob Liefeld. The adaptation of "Avengelyne" is slated to see Robbie's company LuckyChap and her partners Tom Ackerley and Josie McNamara attached to produce the film.

Alongside LuckyChap, Kinberg has been tapped to also produce the film. In the past, he was known to write and produce the X-Men films. Wilde has been credited for Don't Worry Darling and Booksmart. So far, details on the project are quite scarce. It is unclear who will be playing the main role of Avengelyne. The character shares the typical hero plot line as an angel who fights evil while also facing demons and monsters. Liefeld created the character in 1995.

This is not the first time someone wanted to bring Avengelyne's story to the big screens. In 2013, Gina Carano was reportedly attached to star in the adaptation and in 2016, Paramount bought the rights to a version set to be made by Akiva Goldsman. LuckyChap recently announced it would be producing a The Sims film following the global success of Barbie.
