Created by Subhash Kapoor, Maharani is a political drama series streaming on SonyLIV. Reportedly inspired by true events, the plot revolves around Rani Bharti, the illiterate and unassuming wife of Bihar’s chief minister Bheema Bharti. After he is forced to resign, Bheema unexpectedly decides to make his wife the Chief Minister in his stead. Season 1 premiered on May 28, 2021, season 2 on August 1, 2022, and season 3 on March 7, 2024. If you are wondering whether there will be a fourth season of Maharani, this is what we have discovered.

Here’s all the Maharani Season 4 release date information we know so far, and all the details on when it is coming out.

Is there a Maharani Season 4 release date?

Maharani Season 4 does not have an official release date, but it will likely be announced in the future.

As of early March 2024, there is no official announcement about the fourth season of Maharani. This is not particularly unusual as season 3 just debuted. SonyLIV will likely observe how the audience responds to it before deciding anything.

Huma Qureshi, who plays the lead, reflected on the future of the show in an interview with PTI. “There is a lot of potential in the series,” the actress said. “There are so many stories. As a country, we are obsessed with politics and everything political. There is a lot that can happen. Right now, we just scratched the surface and there is a lot more to go. Maybe we do 7 or 11 seasons. Even if this were to be our last, I just will be very happy and grateful for all the love we have received,” she added.

If season 3 manages to replicate the success of the previous season, there will likely be more of Maharani.

The cast includes Huma Qureshi as Rani Bharti, Amit Sial as Navin Kumar, Kani Kusruti as Kaveri Sridharan, Pramod Pathak as Satyendranath Mishra, Vineet Kumar as Gauri Shankar Pandey, Anuja Sathe as Kirti Singh, Tanu Vidyarthi as Khyati, Harish Khanna as Shankar Mahto, Mohammad Aashique Hussain as Prem Kumar Chaubey, Sushil Pandey as Kunwar Singh, and more.

Where is Maharani Season 4 coming out?

Maharani Season 4 could come out on SonyLIV.

This is because the previous three seasons premiered on the same platform.

ComingSoon will provide an update if and when there is an official announcement about the fourth season.

The official synopsis for Maharani reads:

“A political drama set in Bihar of 1990’s. With its caste arithmetic, traditional satraps and the emerging voice…will an illiterate woman Rani Bharti survive this? Rani Bharti is a homemaker and the wife of Bihar’s chief minister Bheema. All she cares about is her house and her husband. She wants to pack her bags and go back to the village after her husband resigns from the post of Bihar’s CM. But her life takes a turn when her husband and Bihar’s CM is made to announce the name of his successor. While his party members look excited to hear who has been anointed, he makes Rani his successor, leaving everyone surprised.”
