The Magical Reason This Couple Had a Full-Out "Alice in Wonderland" Wedding
Newlyweds Natalia and Rafael Kurzawa had a special connection to Lewis Carroll's book, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, that started when they first met at a tearoom four years ago.
"On the day that we met, the Alice in Wonderland book was lying on the bookshelf next to our table," Natalia told HotSpot Media. Once they got engaged, the Wroclaw, Poland-based couple decided to plan an Alice in Wonderland-themed wedding, and collected vintage teapots, keys, and clocks for a year, later using them to decorate the reception.
For their April wedding, the couple took inspiration from the Hatter's tea party, incorporating mirrors, grass-covered tables, and pink, purple, and blue flowers into the decorations. "We wanted to take our guests on an extraordinary journey and show them our idea of a real wedding wonderland," Rafael said.
They even included their pet rabbit, Bobo, in their wedding photo shoot.
"Alice in Wonderland is magical, evocative and unforgettable, making it the perfect inspiration for a wedding," Natalia said.
"Our wedding is a proof that every idea is possible," she added. "You only need a little bit of courage to break out beyond the standards and make your dreams come true."
