Magic Johnson Has Some Advice for Parents of Gay Children

Former Lakers point guard Earvin “Magic” Johnson went on Ellen to talk about his love of politics, and the subject eventually turned to Johnson’s son, EJ, who is gay.

Ellen DeGeneres asked Johnson if he had any advice for parents with gay children. The sports legend responded, “Well, I think it’s all about you not trying to decide what your daughter or son should be or what you want them to become. It’s all about loving them whom-, no matter who they are, what they decide to do,” adding, “if you don’t support them, who’s gonna support them and love them?”
