Ma$e has added his commentary on the current legal struggles facing Bad Boy Records mogul, Sean “Diddy” Combs.
Speaking to Cam’ron on their It Is What It Is podcast, the Harlem native discussed the raids carried out by Homeland Security at Diddy’s Miami and Los Angeles homes on Monday (March 25).
“Reparations is getting closer and closer,” remarked the 48-year-old. “I’ll be sure to give you your percentage,” he said to his cohost.
“It’s amazing that all of this would transpire on that day,” referring to the massive federal raids occurring on the 27th anniversary of Notorious B.I.G.’s Life After Death album. The two also noted it was the 21st anniversary of The Diplomats’ album Diplomatic Immunity.
“That’s eerie, man,” Ma$e continued.
The “Welcome Back” rapper and his former boss’ conflict extends back decades, with both parties claiming that the other owed them money. In 2020, Ma$e alleged he faced difficulties regaining his publishing from Combs. He did not properly receive these rights until August 2023.
Combs, 54, is at the center of a Homeland Security sex trafficking investigation, as revealed by the aforementioned raids on his properties earlier this week.
“There has been no finding of criminal or civil liability with any of these allegations,” shared Combs attorney, Aaron Dyer, in a statement. “Mr. Combs is innocent and will continue to fight every single day to clear his name… [This] unprecedented ambush led to a premature rush to judgment of Mr. Combs and is nothing more than a witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits.”
Combs is also accused of sexual assault, rape, abuse, and other heinous crimes by multiple women, including his ex-girlfriend, singer Cassie Ventura.
