Reality TV star Matt Roloff did not hold back his displeasure when his son Zach Roloff and daughter-in-law Tori Roloff did not meet his expectations.

The Roloff family are the stars of TLC's "Little People, Big World" series. The show once showed them as a united front until their differences pulled them apart. In the latest episode, Matt expressed his frustration to his ex-wife, Amy Roloff, over their son's behavior.

The tension in the Roloff family didn't go unnoticed in the new episode, where Matt and Amy discussed their upcoming Dwarf Athletic Association of America fundraising event.

When the patriarch asked his former lover if their son and his wife had agreed to attend the event, he couldn't hold back his disappointment at the negative response.

"I hear they had other plans for this weekend, so you know…," Amy said, a statement Matt had a hard time believing. He claimed Zach and Tori's plans were due to the fundraising event because they never wished to attend.

In his words, "They planned to make other plans. I think they made sure they had a good alibi." While he didn't believe his son and daughter-in-law had a prior engagement, Amy, on the other hand, took a neutral stance on the matter.

Amy told Matt that she didn't know what Zach and Tori had planned in place of the fundraising event. However, she stressed that they didn't deserve any criticism since the former couple's other children — Jackson, Lilah, and Josiah — are also skipping the event.

Nonetheless, her ex-husband remained furious about their decision. "Whatever it is, I just think they should have been here to support you, to support their organization," he tells Amy, adding:

"It's funny to see little Jackson and Lilah kicking the soccer ball around and then to go to the convention last year and then not have them support you and this fundraiser."

"It's disappointing to me to see them not support your thing," Matt added. However, Amy remained unfazed and confirmed she wasn't "stuck on that."

While Matt disliked the idea of his family skipping the fundraising event, he understood that everyone had different priorities. He addressed the situation in the episode's side interview, saying:

"I'm disappointed. I thought that Zach would maybe come down with Jackson, so it's disappointing. I don't get upset about that kind of stuff. I think Zach and Tori are going to be away. I think everybody gets to set their own priorities in life."

"I'm sadder for Amy than I am for me. I'm kinda used to keeping the space and the distance. I think Amy, this was something she conceived," the patriarch continued, adding:

"I think it's for the benefit of Zach and Jackson and Lilah and Josiah. So, for them to have a different priority, that's their choice; you can't cry over that. So everybody has to make their own choices with their own priorities."

As stated, things have been heated in the Roloff clan over the family's farm, which Matt now owns. Zach and Tori added fuel to the speculations of their strained relationship with the patriarch by announcing their permanent absence from the TLC series.

The couple confirmed they would not be returning to "Little People, Big World" after its current season ends. They broke the news on a February episode of their new podcast, "Raising Heights."

Tori started the conversation with the words: "Let's just talk about the elephant in the room. Are we coming back to 'Little People, Big World'?" to which Zach responded, "We are not. We made that pretty clear the last cycle."

Tori added: "But I don't think it's been officially announced to people like we are not coming back to 'Little People, Big World.' We are done. That part in our lives, that chapter has closed."

During the podcast episode, Zach noted that news of the couple's exit after nearly two decades shouldn't be surprising. He stressed that the signs were clear, especially after the events depicted in recent seasons. In his words:

"I think the chapter has closed regardless of us being asked back or not. We made it pretty clear we're done with that chapter for multiple reasons."

Zach hinted that the dispute over the family's farm played a part in the couple's exit, saying, "Because we made that pretty clear, they haven't asked us back technically, but this last cycle was rough between the family, the farm deal, and we were done with it. We moved on."
