The Longing Is the New Sustainable Towel Brand to Get on Your Radar

The Longing is an all-new lifestyle brand rooted in sustainability and affordable pricing. Created by co-founders Lindsey Holland and Jack Mizon, the brand was born out of a desire to find consciously-created products that don't break the bank.

Its first launch comes in the form of a towel range, each made from 100% organic cotton and using natural dyes. Each set consists of a bath sheet, bath towel, hand towel and face cloth in a range of pastel hues dubbed "Milk White," "Ray Yellow," "Wavy Blue" and "Rosy Pink." Drawing inspiration from the vivid colors of Lisbon, the city that Holland and Mizon now call home, the towels are designed and produced in Portugal.

"We wanted to create a place to buy insanely beautiful towels that don’t break the bank with unnecessarily inflated price points. Most important were quality, sustainability, and attention to detail. Our promise to you is we won’t compromise on any of the above," co-founder Lindsey Holland in a press release.

The Longing's first collection is released in collaboration with Ecology to offset the company's carbon footprint, alongside 1% for the Planet, which enables the brand to contribute one per cent of its annual sales to environmental causes.

The new towels will be available to pre-order from July 22 from the brand's website.
