Local record stores to celebrate National Record Store Day Saturday
BRISTOL, Va. (WJHL) – Two record stores in the Tri-Cities will recognize National Record Store Day on Saturday with exclusive releases, extended store hours and more.
National Record Store Day celebrates independent record stores. Today, vinyl record sales have surpassed CD sales. Two stores in the area, Cheap Thrills Records and Backdoor Records, will join the celebration.
Cheap Thrill Records
Cheap Thrill Records will have extended store hours and live music from Matt Mullins & The Bringdowns. The store will have the following, provided by the release:

Backdoor Records
Backdoor Records, located at 737 W. Walnut Street, Johnson City, TN, will also participate in National Record Store Day.
Record Store Day divides participating merchandise into three categories: exclusives, RSD First, and Small Run/Regional Titles.
