Little Big Town, joined by Sugarland, picks Pittsburgh date for Take Me Home tour

PITTSBURGH ― Little Big Town brings its Take Me Home Tour to PPG Paints Arena on Nov. 1.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at littlebigtown.com.

Little Big Town will be supported by Sugarland. The two country groups shared the stage at Sunday night's CMT Music Awards performing "Take Me Home," for which their tour is named.

Little Big Town – comprised of Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet and Jimi Westbrook – is a Grammy Award-winning group known for hits like "Pontoon" and "Little White Church."

Sugarland achieved platinum-selling success with songs "All I Want to Do" and "Stuck Like Glue."

The Castellows, a trio comprised of sisters Ellie (lead guitar), Powell (banjo) and Lily (vocals), will kick off the Pittsburgh show.

Little Big Townand Sugarland’s televised rendition of “Take Me Home,"originally written and released by Phil Collins in 1985, served as a monumental homecoming for the two country music acts. The groups last shared the CMT Awards stage in 2008 for a rousing rendition of “Life In a Northern Town,” originally a Dream Academy song with a popular MTV video that showed 1960s Aliquippa and Hopewell Township footage.
