On May 13, Childish Gambino dropped an album titled Atavista, which is a completed version of the previously released album 3.15.20. This reworked and completed album is now out after a surprise announcement on X (formerly Twitter) from Donald Glover. Back in March 2020, the album had 12 tracks on it and was put out under the name 3.15.20. However, it was taken down a few hours later. Now, the singer-rapper has released it again, getting fans excited.

Atavista is now available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music. In his post on X, Donald Glover announced the release of the album, saying, “This album is the finished version of ‘3.15.20’, the album i put out 4 years ago. There’s a special vinyl coming soon w/ visuals for each song.” The cover art for the album features the title ATAVISTA placed in the center on a plain white background. There are 11 tracks on the album, one less than the previous 12 tracks seen before.
The album features several popular artists, including Ariana Grande, 21 Savage, and Summer Walker. In his announcement, Glover also mentioned that his new album will be out this summer. Additionally, the post on X includes the link to the music video of Little Foot, Big Foot, a track from Atavista featuring Young Nudy.
Glover’s upcoming album will possibly be the last album to be released under the name Childish Gambino. It will serve as a soundtrack to his forthcoming movie Bando Stone and The New World, he revealed. Earlier while speaking about it, the singer had said, “This last Childish Gambino album is…for my fans.”
