Lisa Vanderpump Doesn’t Think Brittany Cartwright Should Take Jax Taylor Back

Lisa Vanderpump has made some shady remarks about Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright amid their separation. Well, mostly about Jax exclusively. Not so much about Brittany.

When the Vanderpump Rules creator first learned of The Valley stars’ separation, she told one news outlet, “Everybody predicted that when they got married.” She added, “They said, ‘Oh this won’t last long,’ but I kind of never liked to draw conclusions.”

Granted, Lisa has since said she was sorry to hear about the separation. She acknowledged that “two young reality stars probably have less of a chance of it being successful than most people.” However, that wasn’t to say Jax was blameless.

Lisa reflects on Jax: “I gave him his chance”

In a recent interview with Access Hollywood, Lisa played a game called “Sip or Spill.” Or, as most people would know it, truth or drink. When interviewer Lauren Herbert brought up Jax and Brittany, Lisa preemptively reached for her glass. However, when asked if Brittany should take Jax back, Lisa decided not to drink.

Ultimately, her answer was no. “I don’t know why she left him, but it’s Jax, so…” She took a drink instead of finishing the thought. Lauren then mentioned Jax’s comments that he would no longer “bow down” to Lisa. “Since when has he ever bowed down to anybody?” Lisa asked. “I gave him his chance to show the world how amazing he is, and he took it.”

Of course, whether taking his chance was for better or for worse? That was up to the people to decide. Lisa’s answer shouldn’t come as a terribly large surprise. As was alluded to in the interview, they’ve always butted heads. Perhaps with The Valley, Jax will outgrow Lisa one day. But he probably shouldn’t count on it.

Vanderpump Rules continues Tuesdays at 8/7c while The Valley airs immediately after at 9/8c on Bravo.
