Lisa Vanderpump on Andy Cohen Allegations and Lawsuits: ‘I’m on His Side’

If there’s anyone in the Bravo universe who has insight into the inner workings of the network, it’s Lisa Vanderpump. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills OG has been a part of the machine for over a decade, and she’s expanded her footprint into successful spinoffs. So, when she was recently asked about the accusations surrounding Andy Cohen, it shouldn’t be too surprising that she’s 100% Team Andy.

LVP has Andy’s back

In a lawsuit, Leah McSweeney accused Andy of fostering a toxic work environment where cocaine is exchanged for favorable treatment on the shows. She also claimed that Bravo discriminated against her and tried to trick her into relapsing. Andy vehemently denied all of the accusations.

LVP appeared on a recent episode of The Talk, and they asked her about the ongoing legal drama surrounding Andy and Bravo. She didn’t hold back in defending Andy. According to LVP, he’s a consummate professional who is “appropriately naughty.”

“I’ve had a very close relationship with Andy over the years,” LVP said. “Andy and I have always had a very playful relationship. I think I’ve been one of the few people that have done Watch What Happens Live on their own for many years, and had a kind of very connected relationship, and he’s playful.”

Lisa continued, “He’s a gay man that we have a lot of fun with. So, am I on his side? Damn right, I’m on his side.”

Lisa doesn’t want Andy to leave Bravo

Since the accusations started mounting against Andy, rumors have swirled that he could be exiting Bravo in the near future. They were quickly shot down. Lisa said she doesn’t want to see that to happen. She said that there’s “no way” any of the allegations against him are true, so she doesn’t think he should step down.

“When it comes to drug allegations, a thousand percent I would know, and no way does it happen,” Lisa argued.

If you’re keeping score at home, Andy has about 99% of the Bravo talent on his side. Still, Leah’s lawyers have made it clear that they aren’t concerned about what other Bravo stars have to say. Previously, her lawyer said that the court would prove that there was truth to Leah’s alleged experiences.

“It doesn’t matter what people say or think — that Andy’s a good guy, or that you should expect to drink, or that you should expect this behavior,” Leah’s lawyer claimed. “What’s going to matter is what the law thinks of it. And we believe the law thinks this is wrong.”
