New Lifetime series 'Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up' airs June 3. Here's how to watch

Six months after her release from state prison, Gypsy Rose Blanchard is opening up about her life outside bars. A new Lifetime documentary, "Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up" airs at 8 p.m. Monday, June 3.

The new series, which Lifetime has yet to announce how many episodes are included, will give viewers an inside look at what Blanchard has been up to since her release from the Chillicothe Correctional Center in December 2023. Blanchard spent eight years in the facility for conspiring to kill her abusive mother, Clauddine "Dee Dee" Blanchard" with her then-boyfriend Nick Godejohn in 2015.

"In this delayed-coming-of-age story, Gypsy must reconcile the pop-culture, celebrity version of herself while trying to forge her brand-new identity in a 'normal' world as wife, sister, daughter and most of all — a free woman," Lifetime states.

A one-minute trailer for the new series features clips of Blanchard reconnecting with her family 24 hours after her release, Blanchard and her husband Ryan Scott Anderson meeting with "fans," and Blanchard meeting with a surgeon to discuss facial plastic surgery.

Within recent months, Blanchard has taken a step back from the spotlight — privatizing her social media accounts, but rumors have continued to circulate on social media about her life in Louisiana, where she lives with her family. In March, news broke that Blanchard is filing for a divorce from Anderson. The two married in July 2022, while Blanchard was still in prison. Though Blanchard's social media accounts are private, Anderson's remains public. He has not addressed the divorce directly but has hinted that the new Lifetime series will answer frequently asked questions.

Even more recently, photos and videos have been shared showing Blanchard following a "nose job" she had completed in early April.

"Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up" follows Lifetime's previous docuseries on Blanchard that aired in January, "The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard." The six-episode series featured interviews with Blanchard in prison and her family members, including Anderson.
