Lenny Kravitz Just Proved Why 50 is the New 20 at This Year’s American Music Awards
At the 2018 AMAs, Lenny Kravitz took to the stage looking far younger than his 54 years.
Apparently, Lenny Kravitz is immune to the ravages of time. The iconic rock musician took to the stage at this evening's American Music Awards to present Taylor Swift with her Artist of the Year win, his piled-high locks, aviators, chainmail tank, statement necklace, and tattoos teaming to punctuate a seemingly ageless appearance.
Should you need a visual reference for proof of Kravitz's time-stands-still aesthetic, a quick scroll through the first few rows of daughter Zoë's Instagram offers plenty of present tense captures of her father, positioned alongside a throwback snap that finds him in the arms of Lisa Bonet, the young Lenny looking essentially identical to his current, 54-year-old self. The caption? “This is cute and also important.”
It’s true—and tonight, the icon's attendance coincides with the September release of his latest album, Raise Vibration, a title that may very well have something to do with his atmosphere of boyish health. Let this be a lesson to all the Lenny lovers both near and far: Simply cultivate a cocktail of finely groomed hair (facial and otherwise), apropos piercings, and an unending supply of charisma, and you, too, may just eschew the natural order.
