Lena Dunham pens emotional Instagram post about her relationship with her body

Actress Lena Dunham has never been shy about opening up about her struggles. On March 11, in honor of Endometriosis Awareness Month, Dunham gave her Instagram followers a taste of her unfiltered honesty. and opened up about her struggles with her body image. In the post, she admitted that though her relationship with her body is constantly evolving, it “isn’t always positive". “I’ve never called myself ‘body positive’ because my relationship with my curves and scars isn’t overtly political — it’s wildly personal". "And it isn’t always positive. I take enormous comfort in the body positivity movement, but I think of myself as something more like ‘body tolerant’". This isn’t the first time Dunham has addressed her struggles with her body image.
