The post Lee Jung-jae, Carrie-Anne Moss Fight to Protect the Jedi Order in Star Wars: The Acolyte Trailer: Watch appeared first on Consequence.

Disney+ has revealed the first trailer for its latest Star Wars prequel series, Star Wars: The Acolyte. With the first two of the show’s eight episodes dropping on June 4th, you can watch the preview below.

The Acolyte is set 100 years before Star Wars: Episode 1 — The Phantom Menace during the peaceful era of the High Republic. The Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic are at the height of their power, with no war amongst the stars to speak of. However, as someone starts picking off Jedi one by one, the Dark Side begins to emerge.

The official synopsis reads, “An investigation into a shocking crime spree pits a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae, Sol) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Amandla Stenberg, Mae). As more clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all is not what it seems.”

Helping Jung-jae’s character Sol in his quest are Carrie-Anne Moss (Master Indara), Dafne Keen (Padawan Jecki Lon), Rebecca Henderson (Vernestra Rwoh), Charlie Barnett (Yord Fandar), Dean Charles Chapman (Master Torbin), and Joonas Suotamo, the latter of whom plays a Wookie Jedi Master named Kelnacca after portraying Chewbacca in the sequel trilogy and Solo: A Star Wars Story. Jodie Turner-Smith also has a starring role as Mother Aniseya, but as the trailer teases, it’s unclear which side she’s on.
