Larsa Pippen and Marcus Jordan have differing opinions about how to best navigate the end of their whirlwind romance.

Following their sudden breakup — and brief rekindling — after more than a year of dating, the Real Housewives of Miami star has shared her thoughts on the split in different interviews, including one with the Amy & T.J podcast.

"I just wrapped shooting the show and I spent time away from him and everyone else," Pippen, 49, told the former Good Morning America hosts. "I was there for two weeks and it just kind of gave me clarity when I was alone and I think when you're alone, you kind of really either miss the person or realize maybe you're not my guy, and I feel like that made me realize that I don't think he's my guy."

Addressing whether their 16-year age gap contributed to their split, Pippen said: "No. No. I don't think so. I just think we're just on a different journey and I feel like I have to be true to who I am, what I'm doing and what he's doing."

"I want him to be happy," she added. "He's a great guy, but I just don't feel like it's for me."

Soon after, Jordan, 33, appeared to seemingly call out the fellow Traitors star in a since-deleted Instagram Story post. "I wasn't born last night. Rewriting history for clout is not cute," he wrote, per the Queens of Bravo Instagram account.

"Funny how ppl change, just to be part of a conversation that's irrelevant," he continued. "Why give shorty a heart, when she rather have press. Ooooohhh thats [sic] nerve."

Breakup rumors swirled for Pippen, 49, and Jordan, 33, when the Bravolebrity unfollowed and removed all photos of her beau from her Instagram. She also shared a post on her Instagram Story that featured a poll that asked her followers, "Should your friends unfollow your ex?" as well as a video of Morgan Freeman speaking about trusting your "inner voice."

A source then confirmed to PEOPLE on Feb. 12 that Pippen and the son of NBA legend Michael Jordan had split. "They have decided to take some time apart to reevaluate their relationship. This has nothing to do with any family input, but solely for their personal growth," a second source says.

However, they refollowed each other shortly after ahead of their upcoming attendance at The Traitors season 2 reunion taping on March 1.

Pippen and Jordan first met in 2019 through mutual friends at a party in Los Angeles. Looking back on that moment, Pippen had told PEOPLE that they developed "a great foundation as friends" from that point onward.

Their relationship shifted gears in 2022 as they began to spark romance rumors. At the time, the two had stepped out to lunch together that September.

Though Pippen shut down speculation at BravoCon 2022 that October by saying they're simply "friends," the twosome appeared to confirm their relationship in January 2023 when they were seen kissing while on a stroll in Miami Beach, Florida. Multiple sources then confirmed their romance to PEOPLE days later.

While together, the pair often addressed the criticism surrounding their 16-year age gap.

"I feel like a lot of people have it wrong. Sometimes I want to correct them, but I just don't," Jordan said on the pair's Separation Anxiety with Larsa Pippen & Marcus Jordan podcast, while Pippen added, "It's kind of crazy how people think they know us when in reality, they really don't know anything about who we are as a couple."

Things were looking upward for the couple as Pippen and Jordan teased their possible engagement while speaking to PEOPLE in December 2023.
