Lainey Wilson Says She's Hanging with Boyfriend Duck Hodges, Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo After 2024 ACMs (Exclusive)

Wilson is nominated for five awards and will take the stage for a performance at this year's ceremony

Win or lose, Lainey Wilson is celebrating after the ACMs.

Speaking to PEOPLE on the red carpet of the 2024 ACM Awards on Thursday, May 16, Wilson revealed her plans for after the show.

"I'm sure I'll be hanging out somewhere with Jelly Roll, my boy, and Bunnie [Xo] somewhere," Wilson, 31, says. "I'll probably hang out with my parents."

She adds of her boyfriend, Devlin "Duck" Hodges, "Duck is great. Duck is running around here too. He's buddies with all the artists. When they see me and him together they're like, 'Duck!' and I'm like... they choose him!"

Wilson and Jelly scored a hit together last year with a remix of his single "Save Me," which reached No. 1 on the Billboard U.S. Country Airplay chart and No. 19 on the all-genres Hot 100 chart.

At the award show, which is streaming live from the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, Wilson is set to take the stage for a special performance. More performers include Jason AldeanKane BrownCody JohnsonThomas Rhett, Chris Stapleton and more.

The "Watermelon Moonshine" singer is also up for five awards, including entertainer of the year, female artist of the year, song of the year and music event of the year.

Earlier this month, Wilson announced plans to release her fifth studio albumWhirlwind.

"That’s what my life has been the last couple years. I hope this record brings peace to your 'whirlwind' and wraps its arms around you like it did me when I was writing and recording it. August 23. Pre-order and pre-save it now!" she captioned the post.

The record, set for an Aug. 23 release, is "a daringly honest look into the country star's life and journey around the globe," per a press release.

"Whirlwind is an innovative and grounded extension of  Wilson’s signature sound. Bridging together a diverse yet sonically cohesive collection of songs, the record bends genres while remaining true to the singer’s Western roots," said a press release statement.

The 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards are streaming live on Prime Video from Ford Center at The Star in Texas.
