Kylie Cosmetics Sent Empty Highlighters
I've always joked that Kylie Jenner could sell empty boxes and people would buy them, but I never thought I'd see the day where that joke was actually real.
In February, Kylie dropped the news that she'd be launching a highlighter range by the clever name of Kylighters, and fans of Kylie Cosmetics lost their minds. But when those fans finally began receiving their purchased Kylighters without any product inside the packaging (lolol), they lost their minds for a different reason.
Many disgruntled shoppers began posting photos of their sad, empty boxes in hopes of getting some answers and replacements.

But that wasn't the only Kylighter mishap during the first shipment of orders. Some of the boxes also included sketchy labels taped on top of the shade names to hide the words "First Date" underneath. A couple of those customers posted photos of said stickers, but the most bizarre part of that mixup is that "First Date" isn't even the name of another one of the Kylighters; it's the name of a limited edition blush shade in a palette from her Valentine's collection. Like, what?
There are no answers for the great packaging mystery of 2017, but the brand is actively resolving the empty box issue. Customer service has responded to shoppers via email and social media to fix the problem and send people their sold-out Kylighters. Whew.
