Kourtney Kardashian has had to make a lot of lifestyle changes since welcoming baby Rocky Thirteen with husband Travis Barker back in November. The Lemme founder — who also shares t(w)eens Mason, Penelope, and Reign with ex Scott Disick — has had to get used to the sleep deprivation that comes with welcoming a newborn. She’s had to adjust to feeling comfortable in the body that just birthed a human.

And she’s apparently had to make changes to her beauty routine.

The TV personality posted a Boomerang of her manicure on her Instagram Story (see it HERE before it disappears). Instead of going for the long and trendy almond-shaped nails, Kardashian’s “tiny nails” are square, end just past her nail bed, and are painted a light neutral pink.

” … The second they grow any longer than this I can’t buckle and unbuckle car seats, strollers, and high chairs,” she said.

And moms everywhere know her pain. Those buckles can get tricky, and any extra nail length just gets in the way. We feel you, Kourt. But don’t worry! Your manicure looks great. Honestly, we forgot how good a simple and short manicure could look. It works for everything from walking a red carpet to taking a walk with baby Rocky (and getting him in and out of his seat). If we had to guess, we’d say he’s probably riding in luxury in the Doona stroller we’ve seen his parents use before.

Last month, Kardashian addressed the rest of her postpartum body (nails aside) and shared a sweet message with “new mommies.”

“Your body is beautiful at all stages,” she said on Instagram. “During pregnancy as we are glowing and growing, postpartum as we are healing and shrinking, and then that period I find the hardest as our bodies are still adjusting. And if you’re breastfeeding, that’s a whole other part of it.”

“I try to be kind to myself as my body finds a new normal,” she continued. “The pressure put on us to bounce back when everything is new and different isn’t realistic. Life is beautiful, you are beautiful. Just a little reminder (for me too;) XOXO.”

She’s been consistent with sharing similar messages since she and Barker — who also has three adult children — welcomed Rocky last year. In December, the Poosh founder shared a picture of her walking on a treadmill with the speed set at 3, the incline set at 12, and a timer set for 30 minutes.

“Taking it easy,” she wrote. “No rush no pressure mamas, your body is healing, it’s not a race.”

LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK! And just like it’s not a race, it’s not a beauty contest. So if short nails are what you need to be the best mom you can be, go for it. They’re functional, and that’s what matters! The fact that they’re surprisingly chic is just the cherry on top.
