King Charles’ Return to Public Duties Has Sparked More Questions About Kate Middleton’s Whereabouts

While it’s no secret that the British royal family has been vulnerable recently with Kate Middleton and King Charles stepping away from duties to undergo cancer treatment, it seems there’s finally some good news to share. Earlier today, King Charles shared a refreshing health update with his followers: he will be returning to public duties.

“His Majesty The King will shortly return to public-facing duties after a period of treatment and recuperation following his recent cancer diagnosis,” a statement for His Majesty wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of him and Queen Camilla. In the photo, Charles and Camilla are seen smiling as they walk with their arms intertwined in their garden.

“To help mark this milestone, The King and Queen will make a joint visit to a cancer treatment center next Tuesday, where they will meet medical specialists and patients,” the statement continued. “This visit will be the first in a number of external engagements His Majesty will undertake in the weeks ahead.”

From the statement, it seems the King already has a series of events lined up. “In addition, The King and Queen will host Their Majesties The Emperor and Empress of Japan for a State Visit in June, at the request of HM Government,” the caption read.

“As the first anniversary of The Coronation approaches, Their Majesties remain deeply grateful for the many kindnesses and good wishes they have received from around the world throughout the joys and challenges of the past year,” the caption ended.

“Wonderful news – and God speed His Majesty’s recovery,” wrote one supporter in the comments. “That’s wonderful news! So pleased to hear that His Majesty is obviously doing well health wise,” echoed another.

And while the news is undoubtedly a great one, showing great progress in Charles’ battle with cancer, followers are now concerned that there’s been no update on Kate Middleton’s side. After all, the last time Middleton appeared on socials (or paparazzi sightings) was when she first announced her diagnosis in late march.

Since then, Prince William, who’s minimized his public duties to take care of his wife, has been the only Wales to attend public events. “Any word on Princess Kate???🙏” asked one user under the King’s post. “and Kate??? 😢💔” wrote another.

So while we wait to see how the Princess of Wales is doing, let’s all take a moment to celebrate Charles great news!
