Kim Porter‘s cause of death has been revealed two months after she died suddenly. The model and actress, who had three kids with longtime love Sean “Diddy” Combs, died from lobar pneumonia, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner revealed Friday. The manner of death was certified as natural.

Porter was found unresponsive in her Toluca Lake, Calif., home on Nov. 15 and was pronounced dead at the scene. She was 47. At the time, TMZ reported Diddy’s ex-girlfriend had been suffering flu-like symptoms, and possibly pneumonia, for several weeks. She apparently contacted her doctor the day before her death complaining that she wasn’t getting better.

Diddy, 49, and Porter began dating in 1994. After a few ups and downs, they ended their relationship for good in 2007 but remained friends and co-parents. They have three children: twin girls Jessie James and D’Lila, 12, and son Christian, 20. Porter also has a son, Quincy, 27, with R&B singer Al B. Sure, while Diddy is father to a 25-year-old son, Justin, from a prior relationship. Their blended family was extremely close.

The hip-hop mogul has been publicly grieving his loss, declaring he and Porter were “more than soulmates.”

He has been stepping up his fatherly duties in the wake of her absence. “New day. New life new RESPONSIBILITIES. KIM I GOT THIS. Just like you taught me!” he captioned a clip of him driving their twin girls to school.

Diddy has yet to publicly address Porter’s cause of death.
