Kim Kardashian has been on something of a victory lap on Instagram, recently posting pics with the beauty blogging world's best and brightest to celebrate her sold out KKW Beauty line.

Thank you to everyone who came out to my @kkwbeauty launch event! Loved seeing my OG's & meeting so many new people!

But eagle-eyed social media users quickly realized that out of every single selfie Kim posted, only one didn't have a tag: the one with YouTuber Jackie Aina:

Flashback to last week, when Jackie (whose YouTube tutorials, I personally adore) posted her review of some KKW Beauty products after hanging out at Kim K's place with a bunch of other beauty bloggers. Her verdict: not exactly glowing, but nothing damning either:

People on Twitter and Instagram jumped to conclusions about the whole scenario:

But Kim, though she's capable of shady moves every now and then, wasn't out to specifically target Jackie. In a series of tweets, she shared that she had never intentionally meant to not tag Jackie:

"I just saw a story saying I intentionally didn’t tag @jackieaina in a pic I posted on Instagram because of a review she did about my line. I would never post someone’s pic on my page and then intentionally not tag them.

When I uploaded the album I was tagging everyone that came to the party and for some reason it wouldn’t let me tag Jackie’s name. I figured I would just try again later, but then I realized you can’t add tags after the album is posted! I hung out with @jackieaina in my home and she was super sweet!! I love that she has an opinion and I’ll take what she said and use it to better my products."

She followed all that up with a question for the real culprit in this case: Instagram.

"Honestly, I’m so thankful to everyone who is giving me feedback on my beauty products & I love hearing what everyone loves, and doesn’t love. So @Instagram, can you change it so that you can tag people in galleries after they are posted, so I can avoid this issue in the future?"

Jackie, for her part, also responded in kind:

"When @KimKardashian invited us into her home for the launch of KKW she was very sweet and professional, I shared that with all of you. So when this happened I was confused. It wasnt about being recognized, it felt like I was being shaded for a less than perfect review ....and I know that's not just how it looked to me, it's how it looked to everyone else. I didn't notice the photo tag until you all told me.

I don't know @KimKardashian personally, so while she was super sweet tbh it's hard NOT to assume the worst of people in this industry, but anywho thank you @KimKardashian for clearing that up, having me into your home and welcoming my honesty and feedback."

All's well that ends well, in beauty blogging and otherwise.
