Khloé Kardashian Just Spoke Out About Those Rumors That She's the Next Bachelorette

Kim chimed in too.

UPDATE, February 24:

Unfortunately for reality television fans hoping to see a Keeping Up With the Kardashians and The Bachelorette crossover, Kim Kardashian West just shot down reports that her sister Khloé Kardashian was in the running to be the next Bachelorette. (The Bachelor creator Mike Fleiss had tweeted that Khloé was possibly joining the series.) "Fake fucking news," Kim tweeted.

Fleiss then tweeted directly at Kim, implying that she wasn't part of the discussion.

That's when Kim decided to take things to the family group text to get receipts.

But Fleiss dug in further, claiming all candidates sign a confidentiality agreement. This prompted Khloé to chime in and settle it: "I’m not fucking clickbait right now," she wrote. "Stop or you will be hearing from my lawyers. How insensitive!!"

Fleiss finally stepped down, but not before trying to get the last word. "One of the things we look for in choosing The Bachelorette is a great sense of humor," he wrote. "Might be time to look elsewhere." Then he added, "I sincerely offered our assistance. If a certain someone thinks he/she doesn’t need our help to find true love, so be it!!!"

Original Post: The only reality show more bonkers than The Bachelor is Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and those worlds might be colliding very soon. Mike Fleiss, creator of The Bachelor, tweeted Thursday afternoon (February 21) that Khloé Kardashian—yes, Khloé Kardashian—is in the running to be the next Bachelorette.

"@khloekardashian is very much in contention... Stay tuned! #TheBachelorette," Fleiss tweeted before quickly following up with, "Any decision regarding @khloekardashian as the new #TheBachelorette will need to be approved by my dear friend @KrisJenner…." That last one is a given, obviously. I mean, the Kardashian-Jenners don't breathe without Mama Kris' sign-off. (Kidding.)

This Bachelorette rumor is coming at either the best or the worst time for Kardashian. Just three days ago, news broke that she and boyfriend Tristan Thompson were breaking up amid rumors he cheated on her with Kylie Jenner's best friend, Jordyn Woods. Is Khloé ready to jump into the dating scene so quickly after that dramatic saga? Crazier things have happened on The Bachelor. That's for sure.

And it's a perfect match, if you think about it. Kardashian has basically lived her entire life on television, so she could easily find love on The Bachelor. Maybe Mike Fleiss is onto something….

Of course, take this news with a grain of salt. The odds of Kardashian's actually becoming the next Bachelorette are slim. She has an entire empire to tend to, not to mention her daughter, whom she welcomed with Tristan last April. Putting her life on hold for The Bachelorette would be an undertaking, to say the least.

But that's not stopping fans from freaking out over this idea. "I mean there’s no way it’d happen but I’d love it," one person tweeted. "She deserves to find love," posted another.

If this does happen—and that's a big if—one thing is certain: All the family cameos would be iconic. I mean, come on: Kris Jenner crashing a rose ceremony? TV doesn't get any better than that.
